A few days ago both the Hogar Juvenil del Santísimo Redentor I.A.P. (the home for adolescent boys) and Hogares Providencia de Queretaro, A.C. (the homes for little boys and for girls) received the national award for Institutionality and Transparency recognition given by the CEMEFI, the Mexican Institute of Philanthropy. This organization awards companies the ESR (Socially Responsible Company) distinction, which signifies that a company makes an active and voluntary contribution to improving society, the economy, and the environment.
Hogares Providencia won two non-profit social welfare institutions
The award was presented in a ceremony hosted by the Roberto Ruiz Obregon Foundation, a 501 (c) organization based in Queretaro, and was attended by representatives of the city of Queretaro and the CEMEFI.
In Mexico, only 10% of CSOs (NGO) have received this distinction. In Queretaro there are 27 shelters and only 4 have received the distinction, two of which we head. We are very proud of this achievement and wanted to share it with you and thank you for all you to do to support our efforts to help our society’s most vulnerable children lead a better life.
